REV. BENJAMIN CUZEN'S ARTWORK

An "Art Union" distribution of oil paintings and water color drawings, the production of the Rev. Benjamin Cuzens, is projected under the sanction of the Attorney-General.

The Rev. Mr. Cuzens has been for a long time incapacitated for the discharge of his clerical duties, and is borne down by the heavy expenses entailed on a failing income by a prolonged sickness. A feeling of delicacy interdicts our dwelling upon the subject, but we feel assured that a worthy pastor will not be neglected on a bed of sickness.

Here is presented an opportunity for Voluntaryism to distinguish itself. The following subjects from the pencil of the infirm cleryman will be on view in the class room of the Mechanics' Institute:-

"The Sisters of Bethany"

"The Hand that Signed the Pledge"

"Harvest in the Highlands"

"Waiting for the Ferry Boat"

"The Minstrel of Chamouni"

"The Virgin and Child"

"The Brook"

"Group of Arums"

"Group of Poppies"

"Group of Convolvuli"

"Skiddaw Over Derwentwater"

"Derwentwater"

In all twelve subjects.
